Supplying Refractory Anchors To You For 30 Years, Our Pleasure
When SILICON started manufacturing refractory anchors in 1982, it opened its doors in a small warehouse in the city of Monster. Wouter Garot, President & Founder of the company, managed to produce and sell all of the anchors by himself. He soon found out that he needed to expand its operating space and staff. These natural laws of expansion have been applied ever since.
Now grown to 3 worldwide locations and over 60 employees, SILICON's presence in the market has had positive and lasting effects. From standardizing a coding system for refractory anchors to revolutionary new products and innovations in welding technology, SILICON is the company that never stops developing.
Wouter Garot has always listened very well to the problems of metallurgic professionals which has given him the ability to develop key solutions to everyday obstacles. Besides being a Metallurgist he is also a welding engineer and was able to create refractory anchors that can be installed much faster and more cost-effectively by using the Rapid Arc Welding technology that is being continually developed to perfection for decades and is still way ahead of competitors today.
With the latest developments in North & South America, SILICON has taken on new markets that are presenting great results. In addition to this, SILICON is also reaching out to developing countries in Africa to help with the development of potential industries that could provide the continent with new growth.
Wouter Garot's view on the situation: "We're doing a great job worldwide in terms of refractory anchors and rapid arc welding technology; the modern countries are catching up on the solutions we provide. I'm looking now at countries where there's a huge potential for infrastructure and innovation, this could help jump-start the economies in third-world countries by creating many jobs and sustainable long-term industries. Wherever we can help, that's where we'll go."
SILICON will be celebrating its 30th anniversary early 2012 and its founder is confident it will be around for another prosperous 30 years to lead the way in refractory anchors and rapid arc welding. Expect a lot of exciting news from us next year, in addition to some special events in honor of this milestone. As always, you can contact us for any information.
